Angelina is now 14, and for a while I’ve found it increasingly more difficult to push her whilst out in her wheelchair. And often avoided places!
She completely relies on it whenever we go out, due to the struggles she has with mobility and limited function on her left side, her left sided vision loss has also caused more difficulties when out.
She feels safer in a wheelchair, less anxious, and doesn’t get as annoyed when there’s lots of people – I’m sure one day she will invent a conveyor belt system especially in supermarkets, so that shoppers can’t back track and bump into her when they’ve forgot something half way down an isle!!
The Power Push Gravity lite battery assisted wheelchair has the ability to take the strain when needed even on hills. Unfortunately these types of chairs are not funded through wheelchair services like her standard one and due to many reasons she’s unable to have a self driven one.
Words cannot describe how grateful we are to SW UK financial support scheme ‘Make a Difference’ for kindly funding the Power Push to assist Angelina’s needs, it will certainly make life so much easier for us both.
Thank you to all the fundraisers supporters and donors who continuously raises funds to make these differences happen, I never imagined when we were fundraising over the years, that we would now be benefiting from it ourselves.
