How Can You become a Friend of Sturge Weber UK?
Whether you have a few hours a week or want to get involved in a specific project, we have opportunities for everyone. Here are some ways you can contribute:

Assist in organising and running our annual Family Weekend and support in organising and running fundraising events.
Administrative Support:
Help with office tasks, data entry, and other administrative responsibilities.

How much time is required? Ideally 2hrs or more a week
Do I get paid? No, unfortunately all roles are a volunteer role
Do I receive expenses? Yes, we will pay back any reasonable expenses for training and travel etc
Do I need experience? No, not for all roles, but if you have an area of expertise, we would like to work with you to bring that into the charity
Do I get Training within the role? Yes, with expenses being paid back to you once training is completed
Can I work from home? Yes, absolutely although there are some reasons to travel such as face to face meetings and Family weekend
Can I leave if the role isn’t for me? Yes, we offer a 6-month volunteer role and go from there
How old do I have to be? We are looking for people aged 18+ due to DBS checks
I have a disability can i still volunteer? Yes, absolutely we have roles for all
