It seems like I blink and it is that time of the month to sit down and write an update as to what the Charity and Trustees have been up to. It has been a busy month preparing for the Family Weekend which will be taking place the weekend of 27th May at the Hilton in Coventry. I would like to thank all the Trustees for their hard work in the run up to the event and in arranging for new stock for the shop which will be launched at the weekend.
Family Weekend – 27th to 30th May 2022
We are really looking forward to seeing the members who are attending the Family Weekend at the end of May. A more relaxed format for the weekend has been agreed in the hope that it allows our members who are able to join us to enjoy each other’s company and spend time catching up after a long three years since the last weekend.
More details will follow next month but after the hard work and dedication of the Trustees in organising the weekend we are hoping it will be a real success.
If you have a question for the speakers please email it to support@sturgeweber.org.uk before 14th May 2022.

ACTIVE IN APRIL 2022
Active in April has run this month. It was a huge success. There were over 50 people who took part in the activity. It was lovely to see the community spirit that the Active in April Facebook page generated. The total raised to date is £3756. We have been advised that some of our fundraisers are trying to secure matched funding so hopefully this will raise further.
Marathon
Fi Woodhead kindly donated her time and professionalism on redesigning the logo for the Charity. We thought she was really kind when she gave us a 50% discount on her fee. Her generosity was even greater than that when she ran the London 10k on behalf of the Charity and raised £635 towards the Active in April total.

Make a Difference Grant
The cost of living has drastically increased this last week. The Make a Difference Grant is available for our members. Examples of what this could cover are:-
Counselling, equipment, therapy, groceries, or help towards a bill you are struggling to pay.
