I hope all our members are well and have had a good February.   Firstly apologies for this update being late.  I intended on updating you over the weekend but it seemed to have run away with me

The Trustees have been busy again during February.  We have managed to sign the Charity up to Microsoft Office 365.  This allows the Trustees to have a central point to work from and is making working to update policies and procedures a quicker and simpler process.

We have had a Trustees Meeting, from which the minutes for members will be published.   We are actively working on the Virtual Family Weekend securing speakers and planning this event.   Details of how to be part of the first ever Virtual Family Weekend and AGM will follow.

We are planning on a group fundraising event for April so watch this space.     Start limbering up now.  I know I will need to dust off my trainers and see if I don’t look too ridiculous in my gym stuff !

There is also the Sturge Weber Bake off in March.  I look forward to seeing all your entries.    Happy baking !

A huge Thank You to our fundraisers, Theo Stimpson, Peter Steele and Debra Farren and Kelly Willis.

Finally we have mentioned in the Newsletter and via Facebook the need to consent to GDPR.  We are pleased to confirm that over 120 members have given this consent.   If  you have not yet consented and wish to still received the Newsletter, receive an invite to the Virtual Family Weekend and Family Weekend in 2022, attend the AGM and be part of this Facebook group please forward this to support@sturgeweber.org.uk by 31st March 2021.    We will be removing members from this group and off the members list who are not official Sturge Weber UK members and who have not given their GDPR consent.

Sorry to finish off on a negative note but there has to be a deadline for this to allow the Trustees to move forward and start contacting members regarding up coming events and the AGM.

Have a good March and stay safe.

Marie
